Childs' Farm Horse Drawn Bobsled Rides |

This big baby holds 8-10 passengers, and you'll notice the seats with backs for your comfort. Bring your own blankets and get ready for a cozy ride around the farm. Hot chocolate or mulled apple cider await your return. December-February. Sat. and Sun., 1-3pm. Weather permitting (we need at least 3'' of snow we also watch the temperature and wind chill . ) If it's too low then it wouldn't be a pleasant ride for anyone. Remember you may be on the sled for 30 minutes but the horses , John, Sue and our volunteers are out there all day. Please call before you come to check on conditions. Reservations are not required, first com first serve basis. One last note all times are local eastern time. If you are wondering why we don't have any pictures of this beauty in action is that when we have taken it out over the last several years all our friends have been aboard having so much fun, nobody took any !! |

What
is a , "bobsled?" A wagon on runners is the simplest
description. Here is ours just back from its restoration at
Central Wheel in Arthur Illinois. We are both very proud of the
way she looks and the way she rides.
